The Role of the Service Engineer:
My client is a growing specialist engineering business delivering critical services across healthcare and pharmaceutical environments nationwide. They are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to support continued growth within their service division.
This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for the testing, validation, commissioning, and fault finding of HVAC and cleanroom ventilation systems in highly regulated environments. The successful Service Engineer must be comfortable travelling across the UK and staying overnight when required.

Key Responsibilities of the Service Engineer:
- Attend healthcare and pharmaceutical sites across the UK
- Carry out validation, testing, commissioning, and fault finding of HVAC and ventilation systems
- Validate operating theatres in line with HTM 03-01 standards
- Execute Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) protocols
- Perform airflow testing and measurements including air change rates, pressure differentials, velocities, and supply/extract rates
- Conduct filter integrity (DOP) testing
- Validate microbiological safety cabinets, isolators, LAF cabinets, and cleanrooms
- Identify contamination risks and advise clients on improvements
- Liaise with office teams to recommend additional works and support quotation processes
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and site teams
- Support the ongoing development of the Service Department
- Complete ad-hoc assembly and repair work at the warehouse when required
Requirements of the Service Engineer:
- At least 2 years’ engineering experience in HVAC, ventilation, or cleanroom environments
- Experience working under GMP, P601, ISO, and HTM 03-01 conditions
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home
- Authorized Person Ventilation HTM 03-01
