We're ready to welcome our Electrical Engineering Manager at our impressive Disley Papermaking & Recycling Mill!

You will be mentor and develop your very own team of Electrical/E&I Shift Technicians who ensure our machinery runs reliably, seamlessly, and optimally.

This is a Days based role, (39 hours per week), offering Private Medical cover and many more benefits (see below)!

An insight into the role:

  • Leading by example through a safety-first approach, while promoting the importance of quality, reliability, and sustainability.

  • Carry out annual colleague career and performance conversations (appraisals), alongside review points every 6 months.
  • Keeping our colleagues safe at all times through ensuring all tasks have an accompanying risk assessment.
  • You'll set the standard for best practice Maintenance Schedules for PPMs, CILs, and other Maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee work orders, maintenance requests, and our CMMS System to ensure requests are carried out in a timely manner.
  • We care greatly for our world and our environment, therefore you'll ensure compliance with environmental policies and procedures.
  • Continuously develop your learning and knowledge to help us innovate, improve, and lead the way.
  • To ensure our Electrical team have the right tools and parts when they need them, you'll manage the Spares Dept., helping the team to optimise cost, stock, and maintenance activities.
  • To ensure we're prepared for unexpected encounters and equipped to recover quickly, you'll carry out monthly failure analyses for electrical issues.

Requirements

Qualities we're seeking:

Experience and Qualifications required:

  • Background in heavy machinery/heavy engineering maintenance
  • Health & Safety conversant
  • ISO management systems experience
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) methods/techniques
  • Familiar with DC Drives & Motors
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Level 4 in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5 years' experience in maintenance of complex automated manufacturing machinery (desirable)
