We are seeking Mechanical Technicians with a background in Piping design for a contract role focused on innovative energy projects. The immediate priority involves providing design support for a prototype power station. This role will require managing high temperature and high-pressure levels, dealing with bespoke pipework, and engaging in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) activities. The design process involves iterative testing and amendments, requiring a dynamic and adaptable approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing design support for energy projects with a focus on a new prototype power station
- Managing high-temperature and high-pressure mechanical systems
- Engaging in Front End Engineering Design (FEED) work
- Conducting iterative testing and making design amendments as required
- Working closely with CAD systems, with significant CAD work required
- Ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards
- Collaborating with remote and on-site teams based near Teeside or Manchester
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Mechanical Engineering and piping systems
- Proficiency in mechanical design principles and relevant CAD software
- Ability to manage high-temperature and high-pressure environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of Front End Engineering Design (FEED) processes
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Flexibility to work remote with occasional visits to Newcastle or Manchester as needed
