What will you be doing?
The Junior FLM Engineer supports telecom projects across Northern Ireland and Ireland, with some travel required. Responsibilities include first line maintenance, installation, and commissioning of small works, on a 1-in-7 shift rota covering 24/7/365. Working with Magdalene, part of M Group Services, the role involves maintaining and troubleshooting fixed/mobile telecom equipment, managing tickets to SLA standards, updating documentation, and performing risk assessments. Tasks also include street cabinet work, preventative maintenance, site surveys, and reporting. Engineer will be required to respond to NOC requests, communicate professionally, and assist in team training. Full training will be provided to support all technical duties.
What youll bring (no more than 75 words)
- Competent in the use of power tools, ladders and hand tools
- A strong set of IT skills which would include Microsoft products, basic DOS commands, VT software.
- Ability to operate and understand new equipment
- Analytical skills to assist in fault resolution
- An understanding of telecoms systems and components
- Excellent work ethic
- Vibrant personality and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal, written and organisational skills
- Conscientious, flexible, and ability to forecast future demand
