Planner

Location:MILLENNIUM HOUSE,MANCHESTER,M34 2GP

Working Hours:40 per week (Start Time 8am) Mon - Fri

Pay Rate: 13.47 - 17.46 per hour

The Planner is responsible for effectively planning and coordinating the daily workload of field engineers to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate and schedule work for engineers based on SLAs and priority levels.
  • Monitor job progress and reallocate resources as needed to meet deadlines and performance targets.
  • Act as the main point of contact for engineers on the road, providing job details, updates, and support.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and respond promptly to unexpected changes or emergencies.
  • Identify and arrange the necessary materials and parts for each job.
  • Assist in obtaining and preparing quotations for clients where required.
  • Organise access arrangements, permits, and specialist equipment for site visits.
  • Ensure all RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) are in place and compliant for each job.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar planning, scheduling, or coordination role.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with engineers, suppliers, and clients.

  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and RAMS preparation.

  • Good IT skills, particularly with scheduling software and Excel.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Desirable:

  • Industry-specific knowledge (e.g., construction, M&E, telecoms, etc.).

  • Knowledge of SLA frameworks and performance tracking.

  • Experience with workforce management or job management systems.
