A Primary School in Middleton is seeking a dedicated and efficient School Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school's administrative functions, providing support to staff, students, and parents.

Job Type: Full time

Salary: £13.58 - £15/hour DOE

Contract Type: Temporary

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the school office, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, admissions, and transfers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for parents, staff, and external agencies, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Organise and coordinate school events, meetings, and appointments.
  • Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and teaching staff, including preparing documents and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and legislation.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working within a school in an administrative capacity
  • Proficiency in school MIS - SIMS, Arbour, Bromcom or other similar
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
