Substance Misuse Doctor£85 per hourLocumImmediate Start AvailableThe RoleAs a Substance Misuse Doctor, you will play a key role within a supportive multi-disciplinary team. You'll provide clinical assessments, prescribing, and health interventions that promote recovery and wellbeing. Working under the guidance of a Consultant in Addiction Medicine and Clinical Services Manager, you'll help maintain and improve the quality of care delivered across the service.This is an ideal opportunity for GPs with a portfolio career or doctors with an interest in addiction medicine seeking flexibility and meaningful work. Full training and ongoing professional development are provided.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct face-to-face and remote clinical consultations
- Initiate and review prescribing for substance misuse treatment
- Support the development of best clinical practice within the team
- Work collaboratively with psychosocial staff and external partners
- Contribute to the improvement of service user outcomes and recovery pathways
What We're Looking For:
- GMC-registered Doctor (essential)
- Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience, with 2 years in a relevant specialty preferred
- Experience in managing physical and psychiatric comorbidities
- Experience in addiction medicine desirable, but not essential - full training provided
- Right to work in the UK
