to £75,000 + Benefits | Full-Time | Progression to COLP and Board Member
Our client is a dynamic boutique law firm, recognised for their specialist expertise and close client relationships. With a track record of success and growth, they are seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead and strengthen the firms compliance function. This is a key strategic hire, with a clear pathway to becoming the firm’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and sitting on the Board in the longer term.
The Role:

Lead the firm’s compliance strategy, ensuring full alignment with SRA Standards and Regulations.

Develop, implement, and monitor policies covering risk management, anti-money laundering, GDPR, client care, and professional ethics.

Oversee regulatory reporting and maintain high standards of governance and professional conduct.

Act as a trusted advisor to the Partners on all compliance and risk matters.

Prepare the firm for regulatory inspections and audits.

Work closely with leadership on continuous improvement initiatives, embedding a culture of best practice across the firm.
About You:

Proven experience in legal compliance within a law firm environment.

Strong working knowledge of SRA regulations, risk management, and governance frameworks.

Commercially aware, pragmatic, and solutions-focused.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.

Ambitious, with a genuine interest in progressing to COLP and Board level.
