Junior Risk & Compliance Analyst – Leading UK Law Firm | Manchester | Hybrid Working Are you a detail-driven individual with a passion for legal compliance and risk management? A prestigious UK law firm is seeking an ambitious Junior Risk & Compliance Analyst to join its growing Risk & Compliance team, based in the heart of Manchester. The candidate must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in Risk & Compliance and be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of compliance requirements in a law firm. What you’ll be doing:
  • Conducting procedural file reviews across all departments.
  • Monitoring SmartSearch alerts and liaising with fee earners.
  • Responding to internal risk and compliance queries.
  • Managing regulatory records via mySRA and overseeing practising certificate renewals.
  • Onboarding new legal professionals, including compliance checks and regulatory updates.
  • Supporting internal and external training on compliance matters.
  • Maintaining internal registers and assisting with data breach responses.
  • Preparing for key accreditations (e.g. Lexcel, CQS) and staying ahead of regulatory developments.
  • Working closely with client services and reviewing referral agreements.
What we’re looking for:
  • A law degree or equivalent legal training.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence to work independently and handle a varied workload.
  • Previous compliance or legal experience is a bonus, but not essential.
