Tradewind Recruitment?are working with a Primary School in Oldham. They are seeking a?full-time teaching assistant/learning support assistant?to support primary students in their?SEN unit.

If you are passionate about helping young children and have a talent for positive behavioural management, this is the role for you.?

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a learning support assistant/teaching assistant, you will:

Support the social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs of students

Be willing and able to deal with challenging behaviour

Support the learning of children in the class, including individual, small and large groups

Monitor and support children that have social, emotional and/or mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and possibly other special educational needs?

Support the students academically, socially and emotionally, encouraging positive behaviour and using positive reinforcement?

YOU WILL NEED TO

Have experience as a teaching assistant/learning support assistant

Believe in taking a holistic approach to the child's learning journey

Be calm and empathetic but able to set boundaries

Be trustworthy and reliable

Genuinely want to make a different to the lives of vulnerable young people
