PRUs provide vital support to students who are unable to attend mainstream schools due to behavioural, emotional, or medical needs. These roles are both challenging and deeply rewarding - ideal for individuals who want to have a lasting impact.

We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Teachers (QTS or equivalent) for core subject and general teaching roles

  • Experienced Teaching Assistants or Support Staff

  • Candidates with experience in behaviour support, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), SEND, or youth work

  • A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management

  • Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners

Your Role May Include:
  • Supporting students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis

  • Delivering or assisting with tailored learning programmes

  • Building positive relationships and helping pupils re-engage with education

  • Managing challenging behaviours with confidence and empathy

Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in education, SEN, or alternative provisions

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills

  • A proactive and adaptable attitude
