QC Analyst, Chemical (HPLC)Location: Manchester Type: Permanent Hours: Days (Monday Friday) 35h Salary: £27,000 Additional: Company profit share bonus scheme, 24 days holiday +1 day for birthdays (increases with long service), reduced hours in August, Health shield cash plan, company pension. The Role: • Testing the raw materials and finished goods • Operating the HPLC instrumentation on a daily basis• Supporting the Quality Manager and QC Manager.• Supporting the Production, Customer service, Technical Service, Purchasing, R&D and Commercial departments by testing materials on a routine and ad hoc basis based on various departments' needs.• Develop strong working relationships and communication with other departments. • Look for and implement process improvements to continuously improve performance.• Follow good laboratory practice and adhering to H&S regulations. Ensure laboratory housekeeping and cleanliness. • Prepare various samples. • Ensuring the appropriate storage and disposal of retained production and other samples. • Validate the instruments as required • Monthly or more frequent stock taking for all laboratory consumables and solvents and arrange purchase of laboratory consumables and solvents as appropriate.• Issue certificates of analysis and maintain appropriate filing system when required. • Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel as required by the responsibilities.• Using/navigating Client specific systems such as Epicor, BOS database, COSHH database, email system, Torque databases.The Person:• We do not require a degree for this position • Experience within a QC setting (ideally lab based), the ideal candidate will have used HPLC before but not essential • Strong IT and communication skills Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
