Job SummaryThe Quality Control Operator is responsible for performing detailed inspections and tests to ensure all products meet established quality standards. This includes end-of-line quality checks and in-process verification, supporting continuous product integrity from assembly to final delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform end-of-line quality checks on assembled equipment to ensure final product conformance.
Conduct basic checks including visual inspection, verification of component presence, labeling accuracy, and cleanliness.
Inspect the tightness of bolts and fittings using torque tools and standard procedures.
Evaluate paint quality for proper coverage, finish, and adherence to specifications.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of nameplate details including part numbers, serial numbers, ratings, and customer-specific data.
Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using appropriate measuring tools (e.g., callipers, micrometres, gauges).
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine inspection criteria.
Record and document inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions in compliance with internal systems and regulatory requirements.
Communicate quality issues to the production and engineering teams, and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Assist with quality audits, calibration of tools and equipment, and general upkeep of the quality control area.
High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in quality or manufacturing preferred.
2+ years of quality control or inspection experience, preferably in a mechanical or industrial manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with fluid-flow equipment, valves, pumps, or related mechanical systems is an advantage.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow inspection protocols.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and good organizational skills.
Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
ISO 9001 internal auditor certification
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
Training or experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
Manufacturing and assembly floor environment
Exposure to noise, dust, and mechanical equipment
Standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs regularly
PPE required (safety shoes, eye protection, etc.)
