Role: Interim Internal Communications Lead

Rate: £450pd (Inside IR35)

Client: Major Science organisation

Location: Hybrid working and Manchester

Duration: 12 months (scope to extend)

A leading, global Science and Agriculture organisation is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Lead, to shape and deliver communications strategies across multiple UK sites for a leading global organisation. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs, this strategic role will act as a vital link between leadership and employees, driving engagement, supporting change management, and ensuring effective, consistent messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal communications strategies aligned with business objectives

  • Partner with leadership teams to translate strategy into compelling, employee-focused messaging

  • Manage and evolve communication channels to engage diverse employee groups across multiple sites

  • Create engaging, high-quality content across written, visual and audio-visual formats

  • Collaborate with HR on employee engagement, talent, and retention programs

About You:

  • Proven experience developing and delivering communications strategies in complex, multi-site organisations

  • Strong background in change management communications

  • Proficiency in digital communication platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools

  • Industry experience in R&D, technical/scientific, agriculture or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
