We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our client's growing team in Irlam.

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing chemicals, negotiating supplier contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and purchase chemicals and raw materials to meet business requirements
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts effectively
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials
  • Monitor market trends to make data-driven purchasing decisions
  • Ensure adherence to environmental and safety compliance standards
  • Collaborate with various internal teams to align procurement with production schedules

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing chemicals or raw materials
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of materials
  • Ability to analyse market trends and make informed purchasing decisions
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • A degree in Chemistry, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Experience in the chemical industry is an advantage
  • CIPS Level 4 or higher qualification
