You will be joining a specialist commercial fit-out and workplace solutions provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality office refurbishments, turnkey fit-outs, and bespoke interiors across the North West and wider UK. The business offers a full end-to-end service, from design and cost planning through to construction, installation and handover. Known for its collaborative culture, innovative approach and commitment to quality, the company continues to grow its Manchester operations and is now looking to strengthen its commercial team.



Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to oversee commercial and financial management across a range of office, industrial and commercial fit-out projects. You will work closely with project, design and installation teams to ensure jobs are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.



Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full commercial lifecycle of fit-out projects from tender to final account

  • Preparing detailed cost plans, bills of quantities and tender documents

  • Assessing drawings, specifications and project information to produce accurate cost forecasts

  • Leading subcontract procurement, negotiation and contract management

  • Managing valuations, variations, commercial reporting and cost control throughout live projects

  • Working closely with Project Managers to ensure financial and contractual compliance

  • Preparing monthly CVRs and presenting commercial updates to the leadership team

  • Ensuring accurate documentation, record keeping and adherence to contractual obligations

  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal teams

  • Supporting the continued improvement of commercial processes and best practices



What you will need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit-out, interiors, refurbishment, construction or similar

  • Strong understanding of commercial processes, estimating and cost management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills

  • Experience working independently and taking ownership of commercial decision-making

  • Strong numeracy and IT skills (including Excel and cost-management systems)

  • A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (desirable)

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites when required
