Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in supporting project delivery and senior management across a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. These range in value from 200k to over 10m and include both planned works and emergency responses. You'll be responsible for managing costs, forecasting, and ensuring commercial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage accurate cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows
  • Lead subcontract procurement and manage ongoing commercial relationships
  • Handle contract administration (primarily IChemE and NEC), including identifying and mitigating risks
  • Submit and agree applications for payment and final accounts
  • Advise project teams on cost control and identify opportunities for efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with internal commercial processes and support continuous improvement

About You:

  • Experience in the Water or civil engineering sector
  • Solid knowledge of NEC/IChemE contracts and construction law
  • Skilled in forecasting, reporting, subcontractor management, and payment processes
  • Strong numeracy, communication, and IT skills
  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying preferred; working towards RICS membership is a plus
