We have a fantastic opportunity to join a great team working as a Senor Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis in Manchester

Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, who will be required to work on a staff basis in Manchester.

MUST HAVE MEP EXPERIENCE AND NUCLEAR / DEFENCE OR UTILITIES BACKGROUND

Role Purpose:

  • An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with MEP experience to play a leading role in the delivery of some of the UK's largest secure and complex infrastructure projects based out of the Trafford Park office with travel to site as and when required. With an exciting pipeline of work, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role working closely with the Regional Commercial Director and Management Team.

    The Senior Quantity Surveyor will provide commercial, contractual and financial management to projects alongside the Project Lead. Their primary role will be to ensure project profit objectives and targets are met and cash is managed to maximise performance.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pre-and-post commercial advice/support to the operation team.

  • Negotiate with clients' representatives and other consultants.

  • Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects.

  • Preparation and agreement of interim applications and final accounts.

  • Identify change and implement change control process and agreement.

  • Preparation of monthly contract reviews and report to Commercial Director.

  • Assist in preparation of other monthly management accounts information.

  • Manage a team including Junior QS's                                                                             

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner, contributing to the success of the wider team.

  • Able to gain the respect of the client and supply chain, working diligently and with integrity.

  • Shows initiative in resolving problems.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to be involved in other activities to achieve company objectives.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor and/or proven track record as a Senior QS within similar industry and experience in large infrastructure projects.

  • Extensive experience within MEP environment.

  • Experience in the use of NEC Contracts, preferably Option A, C and E.

  • Full UK Driving License
