A well-established, award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to be part of a dynamic and supportive team delivering a wide range of projects across various sectors.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with an experienced Associate and contribute to the management of key commissions in the region. You will play a lead role in client liaison, cost planning, procurement, and post-contract commercial management, as well as mentoring junior staff. This is an ideal role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who enjoys autonomy and is looking to progress their career within a forward-thinking consultancy environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage local commissions and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare cost plans, tender documentation, and manage procurement processes.
  • Administer post-contract services including valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts.
  • Chair project meetings and provide cost advice to clients and design teams.
  • Coach and support junior team members.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with internal QA procedures and RICS guidance.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Chartered (MRICS) or significant relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial aspects of construction.
  • Confident managing projects independently from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
