Residential Support Worker

Your new company

You will be working for a national residential care provider which offers accommodation, support and life skill services to Children, Young People and Families. Are you passionate about providing care and support for vulnerable individuals? Are you someone who is outgoing with a 'can do attitude'? They are looking for support workers and senior support workers who want to make a difference.

Your new role

This role goes beyond supporting someone in day to day life, it's about having fun with the service users as well! The individuals they support have various interests and hobbies which they love you to get involved with such as going to the cinemas, the seaside or outdoor activities like walking and camping.

Additionally (for senior support workers), you will supervise a team of support workers to ensure they provide high quality care and support as well as assisting your manager to run your workplace according to standards and legislation.

This role is 40 hours per week and roughly 10 sleeps per month.

What you'll need to succeed

For residential support workers it is essential you have a minimum of 3 months experience supporting children and young people within a residential setting or a similar role for example as a youth worker.

For senior support workers it is essential you hold a Level 3 in Children & Young People's workforce in addition to previous experience within a residential setting.

Furthermore, you will be an enthusiastic, committed and resilient individual who wants to make a difference by working as part of a team to support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
