Mobile Plant & Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Various Sites | Field-Based Role Manchester
Employment Type: Permanaent
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile plant equipment across multiple sites. Enjoy the independence of working in the field, backed by a strong office and workshop support team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on plant equipment (excavators, plant trailers, telehandlers, etc.)
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and manuals
- Conduct safety inspections and complete detailed service reports
- Liaise with clients and site supervisors to minimize downtime
- Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure a clean, organized work vehicle
Requirements:
- Trade Qualification - Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent)
- Proven experience with mobile plant equipment
- Current Driver's Licence (HR/MR licence desirable)
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Construction White Card
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
