Overview
This is a key position with one of the most exciting food manufacturers in their sector. They are an incredible modern British success story, growing from nothing into a £100m turnover business in just 20 years.
They are currently going from strength to strength, winning new accounts and growing their existing ones. This is your chance, as the successful National Account Manager, to play a key role as they continue to grow.
The Role
The successful National Account Manager will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of national accounts across the UK.
- Generate new business through networking and cold outreach.
- Lead customer meetings, account reviews and commercial negotiations.
- Take ownership of pricing, quoting and margin management.
- Liaise with internal departments to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Prepare and dispatch samples according to customer briefs.
- Provide regular forecasting and reporting on account performance.
- Deliver exceptional service while troubleshooting and resolving challenges independently.
- Support strategic sales planning and business development alongside senior leadership.
The Candidate
The ideal National Account Manager will:
- Have fmcg or food manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Be highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Be proactive, self-motivated and passionate about delivering results.
- Be open to travel for regular client meetings and account reviews.
