Regional Account Manager

Role Purpose:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading skills and training provider for a motivated and commercially driven Regional Account Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage strategic client relationships and drive business growth across apprenticeship and training provision.
You will take the lead in managing and developing a portfolio of key levy-paying employer accounts, nurturing long-term partnerships and uncovering new business opportunities in line with growth targets. The successful candidate will play a vital role in influencing clients' skills strategies, building trusted relationships, and representing the organisation at both regional and national levels.
Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of key employer accounts to support apprenticeship growth and client engagement.
  • Build strong, strategic relationships with new and existing clients across the North West and Midlands.
  • Identify, develop and convert new apprenticeship and commercial training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and develop account plans for complex accounts.
  • Represent the business at meetings and events to enhance brand presence and drive regional/national growth.
  • Meet annual KPIs including apprenticeship starts, client meetings, and business development targets.
  • Stay up to date on sector trends to inform strategic planning and account development.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in B2B consultative sales or account management.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of business development and client retention.
  • Sound understanding of the apprenticeship sector and workforce development.
  • Confident negotiator with a professional and adaptable communication style.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote client base across regions.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the North West and Midlands.


Due to the nature of this role, you will need to have access to your own vehicle, and you will undertake an enhanced DBS if successful in the role.
