Equitas is working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious state secondary school in Tameside in their search for a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Mathematics to join their team on a full-time permanent basis from September 2025.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play an important role in supporting students to achieve their full potential and contribute to the wider success of the department and school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver well-structured, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages a love for learning

  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources

  • Participate in departmental meetings, CPD opportunities, and wider school activities

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement

The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Has experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths

  • Is committed to raising achievement and delivering high standards in teaching and learning

  • Possesses excellent classroom management and communication skills
