Science Teacher - SEMH:

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to deliver Science at a Pupil Referral Unit in the M12 area. The setting supports pupils in Key Stages 3&4 with SEMH needs that have been permanently excluded from mainstream education.

The Role:

Teaching clearly structured lessons, which engage and motivate children to meet individual needs
Understanding the barriers to learning faced by children with SEMH, supporting their emotional wellbeing
Planning and leading teaching and learning activities
Planning, organising and prioritising records

Position Details:

Position: SEMH Science Teacher
Location: Ardwick
Type of Work: Temp to Perm
Minimum Rate of Pay: 250 per day, depending on experience
Start date: Jan 2026

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

Previous experience delivering Science to GCSE level, in a similar setting
Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
Ability to build rapport with pupils, parents and staff members

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references
