The Role
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. The role involves both 1:1 support and small group work, primarily across KS1 and lower KS2.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group SEND support
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
* Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
* Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs
* Track pupil progress and feedback to teaching staff
* Promote inclusion and independence
Requirements
Essential:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Recent SEND experience in a primary school setting (last 2 years)
* Strong understanding of inclusive practice
* Patient, calm, and nurturing approach
Desirable:
* Experience with ASD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
* SEND-specific training
