Fire Alarm Engineer

Fire Alarm Engineer – Heywood, Manchester

We are seeking a skilled Fire Engineer to join our team, responsible for the maintenance and small works of fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of system design and have hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge and practical skills to ensure that fire safety systems are effective and compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments to determine the appropriate fire safety measures required.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with customers to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
• Provide technical support and guidance on fire safety regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Experience

• Proven experience in system design related to fire protection or similar fields.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in installation processes.
• Previous electrical experience is advantageous for understanding system integrations.

• 5 Years Experience in the fire industry.
• Fire extinguishers experience proffered but not essential.

Salary 30 - 40k basic plus overtime, depending on experience. 22 days + banks holidays
