Position: Support Worker

Location: Stockport (SK8)

Start Date: 05/01/2026

Pay: 95-105 per day, depending on experience

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting on behalf of a large SEN provision for experienced support workers. The school supports pupils aged 4-19 with complex needs and is based in the Cheadle area. This role is full-time and temp to perm after 12 weeks.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1, building strong, trusting relationships
  • Working closely with class teachers to monitor progress
  • Providing personal care

Experience, Training & Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired
  • Previous experience supporting complex needs in a school or residential setting

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
