About the Role

Social work is at the heart of social and community innovations in mental health service in Trafford. An exciting opportunity has arisen, and we currently have social work vacancy within the South Community Mental Health Team in Trafford.

Within this social work role, the expectation will be that for the people you support lead fulfilling lives and reach their potential to live as independently as possible, that you work in a holistic approach, with the person and their social network, helping to strengthen and build sustainable families and social capital.

On a day-to-day basis you will work in a multi-disciplinary team and carry a caseload of people with severe mental health problems working within a Care Program Approach underpinned by the social model of disability, work within a strengths-based approach and deliver statutory duties as per the Care Act 2014 (and other applicable legislation such as the HRA 1998/ MHA 1983/ MCA 2005) and the mental health recovery model.
