What You Will Do
  • You will support the Registered Manager in leading the home, ensuring every child receives the highest standard of care and support.

  • You will lead, inspire, and develop a passionate team of residential support workers, creating a positive culture where everyone feels valued and motivated.

  • You will ensure all care practices fully comply with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

  • You will oversee the development and review of personalised placement plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies tailored to each childs needs.

  • You will manage staff rotas, cover shifts including sleep-ins and on-call duties, and ensure the home operates smoothly 24/7.

  • You will build trusting relationships with children, acting as a positive role model and advocate, helping them to reach their full potential.

  • You will work closely with families, social workers, and external agencies to champion the best outcomes for the children in your care.

  • You will lead investigations into incidents with professionalism and thoroughness, ensuring lessons are learned and improvements made.

  • You will receive ongoing support and supervision, helping you grow your leadership skills and confidence every day.

What Were Looking For
  • You are currently working towards or have recently completed your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

  • You bring at least 2 years experience working in childrens residential care, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or senior role.

  • You have a strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory compliance.
