What You Will DoYou will support the Registered Manager in leading the home, ensuring every child receives the highest standard of care and support.
You will lead, inspire, and develop a passionate team of residential support workers, creating a positive culture where everyone feels valued and motivated.
You will ensure all care practices fully comply with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
You will oversee the development and review of personalised placement plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies tailored to each childs needs.
You will manage staff rotas, cover shifts including sleep-ins and on-call duties, and ensure the home operates smoothly 24/7.
You will build trusting relationships with children, acting as a positive role model and advocate, helping them to reach their full potential.
You will work closely with families, social workers, and external agencies to champion the best outcomes for the children in your care.
You will lead investigations into incidents with professionalism and thoroughness, ensuring lessons are learned and improvements made.
You will receive ongoing support and supervision, helping you grow your leadership skills and confidence every day.
You are currently working towards or have recently completed your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
You bring at least 2 years experience working in childrens residential care, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or senior role.
You have a strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and regulatory compliance.
You communicate with clarity, empathy, and confidence, inspiring those around you.
You are organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities with calm and professionalism.
You are committed to flexible working, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and on-call duties.
