Head of Housing

Manchester

£70-£80K + Bonus + Benefits

Panoramic Associates are supporting a progressive housing provider in their search for a Head of Housing to lead the governance, operations, and performance of one of their key affordable housing platforms.

This is a permanent, full-time role, offering £70,000-£80,000 DOE + bonus and a strong wellbeing-led benefits package. Based in Manchester, the organisation typically operates 4 days in the office and 1 from home.

As Head of Housing, you'll be fully accountable for the delivery, governance and performance of the platform, balancing regulatory compliance with operational excellence and a real human focus on the people behind the service.

What you'll be obsessed with:

  • Solving complex problems, without overengineering solutions.
  • Getting governance right; you're meticulous with regulatory requirements, reporting, and risk management.
  • Representing the needs of your customers and delivering meaningful change.
  • Creating structure and clarity; you bring process that empowers people.

What you'll excel at:

  • Building authentic relationships across all levels from internal teams to investor partners.
  • Using commercial and financial insight to steer strategic decision-making.
  • Looking beyond the day-to-day to anticipate risks, trends, and future needs.
  • Leading teams with clarity, trust and accountability and rolling up your sleeves where needed.

What we're looking for:

  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (or can clearly explain why not).
  • 5+ years' experience in affordable housing, with senior experience ideally in a Housing Association setting.
  • Demonstrable experience managing compliance, performance, and reporting within a regulated environment.
  • A people-first mindset and a genuine desire to improve services and lives.

Why this role?

  • It's not a corporate, clock-watching culture. You're trusted to lead, make decisions, fail forward and learn quickly.
  • The team is autonomous, entrepreneurial and supportive, more like an A-star sports team than a rigid hierarchy.
  • You'll be part of a business that's as focused on wellbeing as it is on results.
  • Real influence, real ownership, real accountability.

Benefits include:

  • 25 days' holiday + 4 'Me Days'
  • Monthly £35 wellness allowance
  • Private Vitality healthcare
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Drive Electric scheme
  • £2,000 referral getaway scheme
  • Flexible working hours (within a 37.5hr week)

If this sounds suitable for you, or someone you know, please send an updated CV and contact number to Sean Cloherty at Panoramic Associates so we can discuss further.
