The Role

As a Youth Justice Officer, you will:

  • Work collaboratively with key partners to improve public protection and reduce youth offending.
  • Deliver high-quality, face-to-face interventions with young people and their families.
  • Complete timely and accurate assessments and develop effective supervision plans.
  • Manage risk and make appropriate referrals in line with national standards.
  • Support young people through transitions, particularly in relation to the Probation Service.
About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Focused, dynamic, and passionate about helping young people.
  • Experienced in transitions and familiar with the work of the Probation Service.
  • Knowledgeable about the Criminal Justice system.
  • A self-motivated, creative thinker with strong communication and motivational skills.
  • Able to work flexibly and pragmatically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or has equivalent relevant experience.
