The Youth Justice Service is a vibrant, innovative team of caring professionals who work closely with courts, young people, and their families. We are committed to achieving excellent outcomes for children who enter the Criminal Justice system, ensuring they have the support they need to lead safe, happy, healthy, and successful lives.

As a Youth Justice Officer, you will:

• Work collaboratively with key partners to improve public protection and reduce youth offending.
• Deliver high-quality, face-to-face interventions with young people and their families.
• Complete timely and accurate assessments and develop effective supervision plans.
• Manage risk and make appropriate referrals in line with national standards.
• Support young people through transitions, particularly in relation to the Probation Service.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Focused, dynamic, and passionate about helping young people.
• Experienced in transitions and familiar with the work of the Probation Service.
• Knowledgeable about the Criminal Justice system.
• A self-motivated, creative thinker with strong communication and motivational skills.
• Able to work flexibly and pragmatically in a fast-paced environment.
• Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or has equivalent relevant experience.
