The RoleAs a Youth Justice Officer, you will:
- Work collaboratively with key partners to improve public protection and reduce youth offending.
- Deliver high-quality, face-to-face interventions with young people and their families.
- Complete timely and accurate assessments and develop effective supervision plans.
- Manage risk and make appropriate referrals in line with national standards.
- Support young people through transitions, particularly in relation to the Probation Service.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Focused, dynamic, and passionate about helping young people.
- Experienced in transitions and familiar with the work of the Probation Service.
- Knowledgeable about the Criminal Justice system.
- A self-motivated, creative thinker with strong communication and motivational skills.
- Able to work flexibly and pragmatically in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or has equivalent relevant experience.
- Be part of a supportive and dedicated team.
