Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Nursery/ EYFS Practitioner to join a well-established mainstream Primary school which has a nursery unit attached in Rochdale.
This nursery unit, provid
es essential support and respite to children aged 2-5 years old with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The setting operates alongside school hours, with an 8:30 start and 3:30 finish Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care and education to young children with SEND, ensuring their needs are met in a safe and nurturing environment.
Support individual learning plans, using your knowledge of SEND to tailor activities.
Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of each child.
Maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere and respond to the diverse needs of children in the setting.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of fun and engaging activities that promote growth, development, and independence.
Requirements:
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, particularly with children with SEND.
Knowledge:
A deep understanding of SEND and the challenges faced by young children with disabilities or developmental delays.
