Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The role involves working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
Candidates should have experience supporting children or young people with SEND and possess excellent communication skills, along with a calm and empathetic approach.
A valid DBS on the Update Service is required, and relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or a degree in education or psychology are advantageous but not essential.

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant, providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role:

As a SEND LSA, you will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SENCO to support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. The role involves helping students access the curriculum, develop essential life skills, and manage their emotional and behavioural needs in a nurturing and structured environment.

You will:

Support pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Adapt learning materials to suit individual abilities and learning styles.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages independence and confidence.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external agencies where necessary.
Monitor and report on student progress and development.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (in schools, care settings, or similar environments).
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for making a difference in young lives.
A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
Relevant qualifications such as a CACHE Level 2/3, a degree in education or psychology, or equivalent experience are advantageous but not essential.
