A welcoming and specialist Primary SEN School in Radcliffe, Bury is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. You will play a key role in supporting children aged 4-11 with PMLD, helping to deliver tailored learning experiences and personal care where required.



About the Role:

  • Supporting pupils with PMLD on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assisting with communication, sensory development, physical needs, and personal care

  • Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and external professionals

  • Creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that encourages every child to reach their potential



What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with PMLD or complex needs - either in education, care, or a healthcare setting

  • Strong understanding of sensory learning, alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton), and physical or medical support

  • A caring, calm, and patient nature

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential with the right experience or transferrable skills
