Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school based in Whitefield, Greater Manchester.


The school is a welcoming and inclusive primary setting with a supportive leadership team that fosters academic excellence and the holistic development of all pupils. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

This position is open to all qualified candidates with a passion for supporting children and making a positive impact in education. Prior SEN or LSA experience is preferred but not essential.



Contract / Position Details:

  • Location: Whitefield, Greater Manchester

  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Type of work: One-to-one support with a SEN pupil, assist with lesson activities, help assess pupil progress, support classroom learning, and invigilate tests as required

  • Start date: November 2025

  • Duration: 1-term contract (potential for extension)

  • End date: End of Autumn Term (Term 1)

  • Contract type: Temporary

  • Full time/Part time: Full time

  • Pay rate: Dependent on experience and pay scale

  • Hours: 8:30 am - 15:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)



Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience supporting SEN or working as an LSA in KS1 or KS2 (preferred but not required)

  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the past year

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills



To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
