Year 6, KS2, SEN Teaching Assistant - Gorton, Manchester.

Educate GM’s partner school in Gorton, Manchester is looking for a Year 6, SEN Teaching Assistant to join their thriving and diverse school.

The role is full-time, for the full academic year and will commence from May 2025. This great opportunity will pay £85-£105 a day, depending on experience.

Our caring, passionate staff members are committed to high standards and teamwork. In this role, you will provide support for pupils, the teacher, and the school to get the best out of each child’s day. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals, you will provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of students in both academic and personal development.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • At least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience in a UK school preferably in KS2
  • SEN Experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Patience
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for helping children
  • Great behaviour management
  • Positive attitude
  • Empathy

All candidates must have:

  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
