Your new company

Hays Education is currently working with a large SEN school in South Manchester to recruit an experienced upper KS2 class teacher for a long-term role starting ASAP. The role is currently for the summer term but could go permanent or be extended to September 2025. The school is welcoming applications from ECTs and experienced teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils with SEND, particularly complex needs and SLD. You will be teaching a class of 9 - 11 pupils and have the support of experienced teaching assistants in class and be supported by an experienced teaching and leadership team.Your new role

You will be working in a large SEN school which specialises in supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties and complex needs. The school is rated Ofsted "Outsanding" and all staff work hard to create an environment for pupils to flourish. The school delivers a bespoke curriculum which has been designed specifically for their learners to engage in education and all aspects of school life. As a Year 5/6 teacher, you will work in a class of 9-11 pupils and be supported by 3 teaching assistants. You will be responsible for planning, resourcing and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the schools' bespoke curriculum which meets the needs of the children you teach.What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role you will need to have:* Qualified teacher status.* Experience teaching pupils with SLD and complex needs.* Experience working within a KS2 setting. This is useful but not essential.* An up-to-date DBS or willingness to get one.* The ability to provide an inspiring, engaging and safe learning environment.What you'll get in return
