An exciting opportunity has arisen to join abrand-new specialist provision primary schoolopening this September inWythenshawe. We are seeking a passionate and experiencedSEN Teacherto help shape and deliver outstanding education for pupils withautism and speech and language difficulties.

This provision is designed to meet the needs of students who require a more tailored, communication-focused approach to learning. You will play a central role in delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets individual needs and supports pupils in achieving both academic and personal development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with autism and speech and language needs
  • Work closely with support staff and therapists to develop and implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, adapting teaching as needed
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure consistent support
  • Contribute to the overall development and ethos of the new provision

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • Experience teaching/ in an SEN setting or with pupils with additional needs
  • Strong understanding of autism, speech and language difficulties, and appropriate teaching strategies
  • Confident in delivering differentiated lessons and using alternative communication methods where required
  • Ability to work as part of a supportive, collaborative team
