Empowering Learning is seeking a calm, patient, and resilient SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Manchester. This role will begin on a supply basis, with the strong possibility of becoming permanent depending on performance.



About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons for pupils with a range of special educational needs

  • Create personalised learning programmes that support academic, social, and emotional development

  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to support students with challenging behaviour

  • Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and senior staff to implement IEPs and monitor progress

  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and wider professionals



About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience teaching students with SEN (QTS or equivalent required)

  • Is calm, patient, and resilient, particularly when managing challenging behaviour

  • Has a strong understanding of SEN strategies, differentiation, and personalised learning

  • Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

  • Is committed to helping every young person thrive and achieve their goals
