Empowering Learning is seeking a calm, patient, and resilient SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Manchester. This role will begin on a supply basis, with the strong possibility of becoming permanent depending on performance.
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons for pupils with a range of special educational needs
Create personalised learning programmes that support academic, social, and emotional development
Use positive behaviour management strategies to support students with challenging behaviour
Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and senior staff to implement IEPs and monitor progress
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and wider professionals
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience teaching students with SEN (QTS or equivalent required)
Is calm, patient, and resilient, particularly when managing challenging behaviour
Has a strong understanding of SEN strategies, differentiation, and personalised learning
Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Is committed to helping every young person thrive and achieve their goals
