Our client is a fast growing food service business based in Manchester, known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join their dynamic team.


As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of production equipment within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Electrical Maintenance: Conducting routine and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including PLCs, VSDs, and control panels.

Mechanical Support: Assisting with mechanical maintenance tasks such as conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic systems.

Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and rectifying faults promptly to minimise downtime.

Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimisation and contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives.

Compliance: Ensuring all work adheres to health, safety, and food safety standards.

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification is highly desirable.

Experience: Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an FMCG/Food or industrial setting.

Skills: Strong fault-finding abilities, with a proactive approach to maintenance.

Shift Pattern
This role operates on a 3-shift rotation from Monday to Friday, ensuring continuous production support.
