Senior Transport Planner - Gloucester

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Transport Planner to join a leading firm of chartered surveyors and property consultants with a proud heritage dating back to 1844 and over 30 offices across the UK.

As part of the Development Consultancy team, you will play a key role in supporting developer clients across both the public and private sectors, delivering innovative solutions to complex transport and planning challenges.
This role is ideal for a Transport Planner with private practice experience, particularly those who thrive in a client-focused, consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans to support planning applications.
Carrying out junction capacity modelling using JUNCTIONS, LINSIG, and other industry-standard software.
Undertaking data analysis and producing clear, evidence-based reports for submission to local authorities and clients.
Liaising with local authorities, highway officers, and other stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Managing projects independently while collaborating with internal planning, agency, and building consultancy teams.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in private consultancy, ideally within a multidisciplinary or transport-specific practice.
Background advising developer clients on planning and transport matters.
Proficiency in junction modelling and capacity analysis tools (JUNCTIONS, LINSIG, etc.).
Strong technical report writing skills with a portfolio of professional outputs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Flexibility in working patterns, with a minimum of 3 days per week in-office.
