Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Plumber to join a secure prison project in Manchester, working on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with specifications and scheduled works packages.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified plumber with a strong background in facilities maintenance to work within a professional and safety-conscious team.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out routine and non-routine plumbing maintenance

Perform fault finding and provide effective solutions

Identify and report life-expired equipment
-
Check, repair, and replace plumbing systems as needed

Complete inspections, water sampling, and risk assessments
-
Conduct mains water supply repairs
-
Adhere strictly to health and safety standards and method statements
-
Minimise material waste and promote efficient working practices
-
Ensure all statutory maintenance tasks are completed on time and are fully compliant
Requirements:

NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent)

Full UK Driving Licence

Gas Safe Registration (essential)

Legionella Control (L8) certification
-
Experience with Maximo or similar maintenance management systems

Competent in the use of light plant equipment

Comfortable working at height and in all weather conditions
