Location: Ilkley / Skipton / Otley / Keighley

6-month contract / Temp to Perm – (PAYE / Umbrella)

** Shifts & Rates: **

Earlies fixed: 6am - 2:15pm - £15.60-£16.80p/h DOE

Lates fixed: 2.15pm - 12.30am (4 shifts) Mon-Thurs - £17.70-19.10/h DOE

All 37.5hr std. week - Plus OT x1.5 + Hol Pay

Client Overview:

I am recruiting for a highly reputable UK engineering manufacturing company based out of West Yorkshire, located close to Ilkley. They design, manufacture, install and commission industrial process machinery to the food, FMCG and other industrial process industries.

Due to a high demand of project work, they are looking for skilled welder Fabricators to support the workload, working in their modern workshop and operating as a key member of their team and positive working environment.

As a Workshop Welder Fabricator, key daily duties will include:

  • Read and work from technical fabrication drawings
  • Working on varied sized items small, medium & some large steel items and fabrications
  • Welding on all supporting steel structures and sheet metal fabrications
  • Ensure all parts are correct and inspected as per bill of materials and in
  • All MIG – done to a high standard as per company processes and procedures
  • Working to safety critical structural standards
  • Ensure work performed meets production timescales

The successful Workshop Welder Fabricator will have the following skills:

  • Ideally formal qualification as a fabricator/Welder (not essential)
  • Experience working as a skilled Welder and able to read engineering drawings
  • Understanding of welding symbols and processes
  • Experienced in light, medium and some large structural fabrication
  • Experience in ISO 9606 structural codes (preferable)
  • Overhead crane operating (preferable)
  • Weld tests – Mild Steel Butt weld 10mm / Mild Steel Fillet Weld 10mm
