We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to traffic regulations.

Duties

  • Operate lorries for the transportation of goods across designated routes.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Valid commercial driving licence (C+E)
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

TRUNKING WORK, NO HANDBALL.

NEED 1 YEAR ON LICENSE

ASSESSMENT WEDNESDAY 28TH MAY TO START FOLLOWING DAY.
