We are delighted to offer this newly created role with our client the Mansfield, a modern Building Society with roots in its heartland in the East Midlands, but with a growing national presence. They are part-way through a business transformation that includes the set-up of a new banking platform and system implementation finance function. You will be identifying new system issues and opportunities in order to drive the business forward and work alongside the PM to deliver process improvements and recommend changes. The successful candidate will understand the mortgage process and have worked on finance system changes within a lender. Initially the role will focus on the finance and accounting system, then move onto more varied business change projects.


Responsibilities of the Business Analyst

  • Identifying customer and business needs and gathering requirements from Stakeholders, ensuring solutions are aligned with business goals
  • Extract and Analyse data to identify trends and insights to inform decision making
  • Assist in development of project plans and resource allocation
  • Adopt Agile practices and prioritise tasks
  • Test new systems and processes to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and in compliance with FCA regulatory requirements
  • Create detailed documentation, including user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
  • Map current financial processes to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies

To be successful you will have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent
  • Experience of working as a Business Analyst or PM within a financial services organization during change
  • Experience of implementing financial accounting systems
  • SQL/Excel skills for data extraction and analysis
  • Lean/Six Sigma skills for process improvement
