Maintenance Engineer – Multiskilled

Mansfield | £46,800 per annum | 4 on 4 off – Days/Nights, 6am–6pm

Maintenance engineer? Want to build your electrical skills? We'll train you.

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected manufacturing site that doesn't just offer a job — it offers real, hands-on training in electrical engineering.

We're looking for a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer (60/40 or 70/30 split) who holds an electrical qualification and wants to expand their electrical knowledge. You'll join a well-established engineering team where structured on-the-job electrical training is built into the role.

What We're Looking For:

  • Multi-skilled engineer with mechanical bias
  • Must hold a formal electrical qualification (17th/18th Edition, NVQ, etc.)
  • Background in FMCG or fast-moving production environments

Why This Role Stands Out:

?? Electrical Training & Development – This is the perfect step if you've got a mechanical foundation and want to grow on the electrical side. You'll be supported by experienced electrical engineers and provided with training to boost your confidence and capability in fault finding, diagnostics, and working with modern automated equipment.

?? Work with Modern Kit – High-speed, fully automated production lines with the chance to work on PLCs, sensors, drives, and more as you progress.

?? Clear Progression – Join a business that develops from within. Whether you want to become more electrically competent or move toward leadership in the future, the path is there.

?? Supportive Team Culture – Be part of a close-knit engineering team where learning is encouraged and experience is shared openly.

? What You'll Get:

  • £46,800 salary (paid monthly)
  • ? 4 on 4 off shift pattern – Days & Nights (6am–6pm)
  • ? Life assurance – 3x salary from day one
  • Company pension – 6% employer contribution
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity pay
  • Christmas vouchers for you and your children
  • Long service awards
  • Plenty of overtime available

If you're a mechanically strong engineer who wants to build confidence in electrical systems with full support and structured training, this is your next step.
