Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader

This post is central to the support of learners with complex behavioural needs to offer a nurturing, flexible and individualised learning environment in which to thrive.

The PBS team leader will also support staff in their capacity to assist learner development.

The successful applicant will hold line manager responsibility for learning mentors and completion of PBS reports in line with the quality cycle.

Other features of the role include:

Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguard Lead

Completion of Mental Capacity Assessments

Main response for behavioural incidents and completing all relevant documents

Ensure compliance for completion of reports and assist support staff where required to do so.

Attend various external assessments and/or perform external assessments with the Hubs team.

Attend termly meetings with Progression tutors to establish behaviour targets for learners.

Quality assurance processeswith a focus on delivering Positive Behavioural Support.

Completion of risk assessments and plans.

Deliver Nappi training and oversee the training needs analysis.

Identify and deliver training as required.

Applicants should hold (min) level 3 qualification in a related area of expertise and hold a Designated Safeguarding Lead training qualification or be prepared to work towards.

Essential skills include the ability to manage safeguarding concerns within an education setting with the ability to complete behaviour support plans and risk assessments.

Applicants should also be competent in creating training packages for staff and be confident to lead team meetings with various stakeholders.

Previous experience within a supervisory role is essential,ideally with knowledge of writing and presenting support plans and reports. Experienceof working with a range of disabilities is also highly desirable.

Applicants should also hold a Math's and English qualification (GCSE grade Cor Functional Skills level 2). Candidates holding additional and relevant training qualifications will be of significant interest.

The post is based close to Mansfield, working Monday to Friday/37.50 hours per week.
