Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a growing and established company within the Anaerobic Digestion sector who are looking for a Plant Operator to join their site in March, Cambridgeshire.

Key responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the AD plant via the SCADA system.
- Conduct daily process checks and tests (DM, Fos/Tac, gas quality).
- Operate the straw processing line and feedstock systems.
- Carry out visual inspections and first-line maintenance (e.g., pump changes).
- Drive plant machinery (Telehandler, 360 excavator).
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Provide out-of-hours support and participate in the call-out rota.
- Record lab samples, complete daily logs, and assist with shift handovers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Qualification in an engineering or related discipline preferred.
- Experience operating within a process or plant environment.
- Licensed and competent to operate Telehandler and 360 excavators.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, fault finding, and maintenance.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proactive, safety-focused, and team-oriented approach.
