Tier 1 Main Contractor

We're seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a new, high-profile project at an RAF base.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a challenging £20 million construction project, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This is a unique opportunity to work on a secure, live Ministry of Defence (MOD) site, so previous experience in a similar environment is a huge plus.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will:

  • Lead and motivate the site team, subcontractors, and supply chain.

  • Implement and enforce the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee all on-site activities to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Liaise with the client and other key stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships.

  • Manage site logistics, resources, and materials efficiently.

  • Ensure all work is carried out to the required specifications and standards.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projects, preferably valued at £10m or more.

  • A strong understanding of MOD or similar secure site protocols.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • A valid SMSTS and CSCS card.

  • Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • A full UK driving license.
